Rossland Zero Waste Co-op
Hello and welcome to the Rossland Zero Waste Co-op webpage. We are a small, diverse and growing group of community members in Rossland, British Columbia Canada who are working co-operatively to reduce waste in our community and are particularly concerned about the world’s plastic problem and
trying to make a difference.

Plastics Recycling Facility
With all the press about what is happening or more importantly not happening with our plastic that we assume is being recycled we feel it is time to take control of recycling at the community level. We are in the planning stages of building a facility in Rossland based on the Precious Plastic model.
Over time we want to deal with other waste streams like paper and glass. We are planning to work with local businesses to produce products that they can sell to sustain the facility. Stay tuned for regular updates here.
Together we are:
Supporting new and existing initiatives aimed at reducing all waste, but in particular plastics
Finding ways to shop, consume and live with less waste
Providing inspiration and raising awareness about the zero-waste movement
Making sure that as much of the waste we do produce is actually recycled
